Catch big scrapping bull trout right at ice-out. For the die-hard angler only.

Duncan Lake is located just north of Kootenay Lake. Within one hour of Balfour, British Columbia,
Duncan Lake is best fished just as winter's ice clears and for the next six weeks (March to April).

A typical catch on Duncan Lake is in the 5 to 12-pound range. These bull trout are as fit as any fish and are very suitable for the fry pan. If you want to experience cold-water bull trout fishing at its finest, give Captain Mike Thompson a call and he will give you a chance to catch a bull trout fit for a King's table!
